How I Created 365 Pieces of Content Using AI

Creating content is a full-time job... that most of us don’t have time for. If you’ve ever stared at a blank screen thinking, “I know I should post but what do I even say?”—same.

That’s exactly why I turned to AI and Canva’s bulk upload feature to create 365 pieces of content for a client in one go. Yep, a whole year’s worth.

Here’s how I did it—and how you can too.

Step 1: Start With a Clear Content Strategy

Let’s be real: if you don’t know what your client’s audience cares about, AI won’t save you. So before jumping into content generation, I made sure we had:

  • Their ideal audience clearly defined

  • Key pillars of content based on their brand + goals

  • A mix of educational, promotional, and engaging content types

This gave us structure. No random quotes or recycled Pinterest fluff—just valuable, relevant posts that aligned with the brand.

Step 2: Use AI to Generate Ideas (and Copy!)

I used Mr G (Chat GPT, hi👋) to help me brainstorm and write captions faster. Not to replace strategy, but to speed up the execution.

For example, I’d prompt it with:

“Give me 20 Instagram post ideas for a mindset coach targeting women in business.”

Then refine the results and ask for caption drafts based on the ones that made sense. It’s like having a junior content assistant that never gets tired.

Pro tip: Always edit and add your own tone and expertise—it’s your voice that builds trust.

Step 3: Organize It All in a Spreadsheet

Once I had the posts, I created a content spreadsheet with:

  • Caption text

  • CTA (call to action)

  • Image idea or theme

  • Posting date

  • Category/pillar

This kept everything organized and ready for bulk uploading later.

Step 4: Design Posts in Canva Using Bulk Upload

Here’s where the Canva magic comes in:

  1. Create one on-brand design template

  2. Use Canva’s “Bulk Create” tool to connect your spreadsheet

  3. Auto-generate all your designs with the captions pulled in

  4. Tweak the visuals if needed, then batch download

In literally 5 minutes, I had 365 branded posts, with visuals and captions—ready to schedule.

Step 5: Schedule It All

I love using Opus Clip to schedule posts (I'm still waiting for this particular client to do the same lol). Some platforms even let you import CSVs straight from your content sheet.

Now the client had:

✅ A whole year of content
✅ Consistency across visuals and tone
✅ Zero overwhelm going forward

What Took the Longest? The Strategy. What Took the Shortest? The Execution.

The reality? AI and Canva didn’t replace creativity or strategy—they just made it easier to implement. The real magic was having a clear plan to work from.

Want to Try It? Here’s What You Need:

  • A content strategy (seriously, don’t skip this)

  • A solid brand identity (brand guidelines) + Canva templates

  • A spreadsheet of captions or ideas

  • Canva Pro (for bulk upload)

  • A scheduling tool (or a VA who can help)

Final Thoughts: Work Smarter, Not Harder

Batching 365 posts in one go isn’t just satisfying—it’s freedom. AI is a powerful tool, especially when paired with great systems and a clear message.

If you’re stuck in the content hamster wheel, this method will change your life.
